We enjoyed a sunny day in the Park today when we created some mosaics for temporary display in the foyer of the Lodge building. There is always so much to inspire in the environment of the Park, the 100+ year old trees, the people passing by, the lake, the plants, the birds on and out of the water.

We used 8″ x 8″ canvas boards to pencil our sketches on, which we completed outside in the sunshine looking across the park to Lake Rise, and then went into the Lodge room to work in acrylics.

We engaged in a lot of colour mixing of our own, to create our own palettes. What was clear, by the end of this very enjoyable painting process, was the differing styles from within the group.
